Summary

toast.observer intercepts toast messages shown by other apps on your device using Android's Accessibility Service, stores them locally on your device, and displays them in a history list. The app itself does not connect to any server, except Google Play services including AdMob and Play IAP.

Data stored on your device

All data is stored locally in an on-device database. None of it is transmitted to any server controlled by the developer.

• Toast text — the text content of toast messages shown by other apps.
• Package name — the package name of the app that displayed each toast.
• App name — the human-readable name of the source app.
• Timestamp — when the toast was intercepted.
• Notification rules — your Ignore/Selected mode preference and per-package toggle settings. These can be exported to or imported from a file you choose.

Permissions the app uses

• Accessibility Service — required to intercept toast messages from other apps. The service reads the toast text and the package name of its source app only. No other screen content is accessed.
• Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS) — used to show you a notification when a toast matches your configured rules.
• Query packages — used to resolve app names and icons for display in the history list. This uses Android's <queries> declaration, not the QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES permission.
• Receive boot completed — ensures the Accessibility Service is ready after device restart.
• Ignore battery optimizations — requested to keep the service running without interruption.

Third-party services

• Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) — the app displays native advertisements in the history list. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data to serve ads. See Google's Ads policy for details. Ad serving can be disabled by upgrading to the Pro version.
• Google Play IAP — the "Go Pro" feature uses the Play IAP services for the app. No data is transmitted beyond the standard Play Store services.

Data we do not collect

We do not collect, transmit, or sell any of the following:

• Toast contents or app names — these never leave your device.
• Personal information, account details, or contact data.
• Usage analytics or crash reports.

Data deletion

All your data are stored locally. You can delete all stored toast records at any time via Menu > Clear History in the app. Your notification rule preferences remain unless you uninstall the app.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from children.
